Every man of a certain age remembers when Christie Brinkley was the queen of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She graced three consecutive covers in 1979, 1980, and 1981—and just eight months ago, appeared in the most recent swimsuit issue, alongside her two daughters.
Both have been blessed with their mother’s beauty and beach bodies. And now daughter, Sailor, has recently been formally invited into the swimsuit issue “family” by Sports Illustrated—courtesy of her famous mother.
“Meeting and shooting her last year was one of the highlights of my career,” said issue editor M.J. Day. “She’s the millennial girl next door. She’s funny. She’s driven. She’s smart. She’s beautiful. She’s interesting. And most of all, she has a voice and isn’t afraid to use it.”
