Kevin Spacey will host this year’s Tony Awards, the New York Times is reporting.
Though he’s more often associated with screen than stage, Spacey, who won a Tony in 1991 for his role in ‘Lost in Yonkers,’ has appeared in six Broadway productions, the Times notes. He also served as the artistic director of the Old Vic Theater in London for more than ten years, and has been known to sing on occasion, including in ‘Beyond the Sea,’ the 2004 Bobby Darin biopic.
This year’s award show, which will honor Broadway plays and musicals that opened between April 29, 2016 and April 27, 2017, will take place on June 11 at Radio City Music Hall. Nominations will be announced on May 2.
