Kim Kardashian West and her family are donating $500,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts after comedian Kevin Hart challenged his fellow celebrities to rally around the cause, the Los Angeles Times reports. The family tweeted their announcement, adding that we “must all stand together in times of need.”

Other celebrities have donated to the cause, including Sandra Bullock, The Rock, Houston-native Beyoncé, and Houston Texans player J.J. Wyatt.
“There are so many people that are gonna need our help,” Wyatt reportedly said. “There are so many people that are gonna need these funds to help rebuild their families, their houses, their communities.”
Parts of Houston have seen several feet of rain since Harvey made landfall on Friday, the L.A. Times reports. The Addicks Dam outside the city also experienced its first-ever breach. Authorities estimated nearly 500,000 people will need federal aid as a result of the storm.
