Former FBI director James Comey’s new book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership, is hard to keep on the shelves. The book sold 600,000 in its first week, which is triple the sales of Michael Wolff’s Fire and Fury, another book that looked into Trump’s White House. Last week, Amazon ran out of stock of the book, reports Deadline. Comey has been going on tour and speaking to people like George Stephanopoulos and Stephen Colbert.
The book launched with an 850,000 copy print run, and Flatiron has already gone back to the presses. There are currently more than 1 million copies in print, reports Deadline, and those copies are expected to be sold by next week. This would make A Higher Loyalty a faster seller than either Trump-critical political books Fire and Fury and Hillary Clinton’s What Happened.
