Hulu announced Wednesday morning that it is renewing its dystopian television show The Handmaid’s Tale for a third season. The show, based on Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel by the same name, just released the first two episodes of its second season.

Starring Elisabeth Moss and Yvonne Strahovski, the show revolves around a totalitarian theocracy called the Republic of Gilead. Women who are still fertile are called Handmaids, and they become sexual slaves for the men in charge. The show’s first season largely followed the novel, and ended right where the book does, which means the second season has started introducing new storylines and locations not seen in the original text.

Season 3 will likely air sometime in 2019. Season 1 earned a series of Emmy awards, including Outstanding Drama, and took home two Golden Globe awards, one for Best Drama TV Series and one for Best Actress in a TV Drama.
