Elon Musk’s crimson Tesla has officially floated by the Red Planet. The SpaceX CEO sent his Roadster into space eight months ago on a Falcon Heavy rocket. In the driver’s seat is “Starman,” a dummy astronaut named after the David Bowie song.

CNet reports that on Nov. 2 “Starman” had made its way beyond Mars’ orbit.

Unfortunately, shortly after the Roadster’s launch, images from the onboard cameras cut out. But you can still follow the car’s path on the “Where is Roadster?” website. The car is set to orbit the sun once every 557 days.
