The sizzling red-band trailer for Atomic Blonde dropped earlier this week, and it has all of the components of a great action film: Fast-paced fights, a spy-riddled plot, and clear sexy aesthetic — one that extends to the flick’s steamy love scenes teased in the restricted trailer.
Speaking at SXSW, Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron said it was effortless to strip down on-screen with co-star Sofia Boutella, who plays a French spy in the film.
“Seducing her? It’s very easy, she’s gorgeous!” Theron said at a SXSW panel, ET Online reports. “She was just great. She was the only actress that we looked at. She came over, she hung out with me and [director David Leitch] and there was something about her that was so genuinely innocent and yet incredibly strong, that she was really perfect for the film.”
The choreography wasn’t difficult, either, Theron reportedly said. “She’s a dancer, I’m a dancer,” Theron said. “So, we’re a little bit like—you know dancers are like, ‘What? Being naked is nothing.’ We just wanted it to be real and cool.”
