Maybe you have a girlfriend.
Maybe she hates your phone.
Maybe she just hates when you use that phone at the dinner table.
Good reason to put it down: Couples in the Dark, a three-night dinner series coming to Hayes Street this August.
The pop-up is a collaboration between psychotherapist Michelle Wang and the folks behind dinner series The Blind Café. Only six couples will participate at each sitting. (Did we mention you should buy tickets now?)
No lights. No phones. No using phone as lights.
Just you, your partner, your fellow diners, dinner and your four remaining senses.
You can also look forward to “fun and playful exercises,” designed to facilitate … togetherness.
Plus: live music and spiked hot chocolate. Also in the dark.
It might be amazing. It might be uncomfortable.
It will definitely be a night to remember.
With or without your phone.
