Jess McGlothlin

For more than fifteen years, photographer and writer Jess McGlothlin has traveled the world helping manage fly lodges, pioneering new fisheries and documenting it all with both images and words. Her work has taken her around the globe, leading her to chase fish on six continents, and while on assignment in the past years she’s learned how to throw spears at coconuts in French Polynesia, dodge saltwater crocodiles in Cuba, stand-up paddleboard down Peruvian Amazon tributaries and eat all manner of unidentifiable food. She still enjoys airports.
As an angler, she’s won fly-fishing tournaments throughout the U.S., and managed guide teams on three continents. But she’s happiest in far-off corners of the world with both a camera and a fly rod close by, and she’s formed a career around exploring unique fisheries and making images in the truly wild places of the world. She enjoys teaching photography — especially with an emphasis on fly-fishing and travel photography — and has worked in challenging environments from the Wadi Rum to the Arctic, photographing fly-fishing, tactical work and adventure travel.
Jess is available for contract, editorial and assignment work, and is currently based in Missoula, Montana, USA. She's an FAA certified sUAS pilot, and enjoys shooting underwater imagery. See more of her work at www.JessMcGlothlinMedia.com.
