Given that we spend an inordinate amount of time at RealClearLife keying you in on the latest, greatest superyachts, we thought we could spread some holiday cheer by introducing you to one of the vintage order—that can be rented for the paltry sum of $55,000 per week. That would be the Mariner III, which was built back in 1926, and divides its time between New York City (in the summer months) and West Palm Beach, Florida (in these frigid, snowy winter months).

The 122-foot classic motoryacht can host anywhere from two to 95 guests, and during the summer, sailers can enjoy five-star meals (like high-end takes on New England clambake or British pub fare), cruising by locations such as the Statue of Liberty and soaking in the Manhattan skyline.

But because we’re currently in the dead of winter, the South Florida–based Mariner III hosts parties along the Floridian coast or in the bumping Miami Beach area. The boat’s large, open deck is perfect for sit-down meals and dancing; it has a cozy interior lounge; and for those interested in longer voyages, there is a master cabin with ensuite bath/shower facilities. (If you’re going as a big group or family, there are also multiple smaller cabins.)

The Mariner III has seen its fair share of celebrity guests over the years, too. Brooke Shields, Madonna, and Harrison Ford have all chartered her for private parties.

So get your Captain and Tennille boatsmen’s cap on and crank up the Steely Dan, because yacht rock is the only music you’ll be listening to while the Mariner III is afloat. (At least, if that’s what you want.)
