These Five Adult Theme Parks Are Real, Spectacular

Wine, pot, sex: Welcome to a different kind of magic kingdom

Who needs roller coasters and fried Oreos when you can have wine.

Or beer. Or pot. Or … sex.

The adult theme park movement is apparently underway, as evidenced by the world’s first vino themed amusement park, La Cité du Vin, which just opened in Bordeaux, France. Think of it as, well, pretty much what you’d expect: an amusement park offering tastings, educational courses, a simulated, wine-themed boat tour, and a restaurant and bar pouring more than 50 types of wine from all over the globe.

But it’s not the only place giving you access to one of your favorite vices in exchange for the price of admission and a government-issued proof of age.

Herein: a few more parks and camps that aim for the 18-and-over crowd. Summer hasn’t been this fun since you were getting hopped up on Fun Dip and funnel cake at a normal amusement park.

ErotikaLand
Brazil
A sex-themed amusement park set to open in 2018, ErotikaLand’s main attractions will include a nudist pool and a movie theater with vibrating seats. For $100, anyone over 18 can experience the games, rides and 7D cinema, “an immersive film experience complete with varying temperatures and vibrations,” according to Business Insider.

Kuchlbauer’s Bierwelt
Germany
A real-life Duff Gardens located in the heart of Bavaria — the beer capital of the world — Bierwelt is equal parts brewery, beer garden and beer museum. Of note: tons of gnomes and assorted other kitsch, a massive collection of beer glasses and a 115-foot observation tower that looks like it was imagined by Antoni Gaudí after he’d had a few too many.

Love Land
South Korea
Amid beaches and waterfalls on the tropical island of Jeju, Love Land features more than 140 erotic statues housed in buildings modeled on traditional Korean dome homes. The park is also home to unusual artwork and hands-on exhibitions that attract a lot of young couples and honeymooners. You have to be 18 or over to enter, but for anyone traveling with a family, there’s a kid-friendly playground on site. Hooray?

Bud and Breakfast
Colorado
This Colorado line of hotels recently opened the first cannabis resort and is already accepting visitors for the summer. While staying in one of the rustic cabins, guests have access to yoga, hiking and educational courses about cannabis. Visitors to the resort can also enjoy meals like “Wake and Bake Breakfasts” and “420 Happy Hours.”
