Even after Fox News personality Sean Hannity—seemingly the only major talking head of note still standing at the channel—went out on a limb for Bill Shine, it apparently wasn’t enough.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox News’ co-president handed in his resignation today. Per THR, Suzanne Scott has been installed as president of programming, while Jay Wallace has been elevated to president of news.
Shine allegedly covered up “incidents of sexual harassment of [Roger] Ailes, his former boss, who was ousted from the network last summer after Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit against him,” per THR. He also worked extensively with Bill O’Reilly, who was last month fired for his alleged involvement in a number of sexual harassment incidents at the network throughout the years.
Shine is the latest in a string of high-profile departures from the ranks of Fox News, which include Ailes; O’Reilly; and Megyn Kelly, who left the network having made sexual harassment allegations against Ailes. She has since landed at NBC.
