We’ve all wanted the TRON look without the affiliated guy-obsessed-with-TRON stereotypes.
Enter: LightMode’s electroluminescent S Series wire kit, which lets you easily customize your helmet into something straight out of TRON — in the name of safety, of course … not fanaticism.

The two options — Electron S Kit or Proton S Kit — improve on the company’s original design with improved aerodynamics as well as a detachable and USB-rechargeable battery. If color options are your main concern, they’ve got a wide variety, although the purple will only become available if their Kickstarter surpasses $50,000. Pushing $30,000 with 26 days to go, it looks like they’ll get there.
While the TRON association and LightMode’s promotional video lend themselves to motorcyclists, the company insists the kit will work on any helmet. Snowboarders, skaters, bicyclists, NASA — you don’t need to be racing in a digital death match to have a cool top-piece.
A few things to keep in mind before ordering: this is a permanent modification, and the kits offer different amounts of wire and adhesive. Plan out your design before ordering.
With an estimated delivery of May 2017, you’ll get it just in time for summer night rides.
Now all you need is a TRON motorcycle, or at least a bicycle, to pair with it.
