We Didn’t Expect a Lululemon Collab With a Big Wave Surfer, But We Like It

Mark Healey took a break from surfing at Pipeline to help design a bunch of gear

You may not be able to surf like Mark Healey, but now at least you can gear up like him.

Apparently big wave surfer Mark Healey has been an ambassador for Lululemon for a few years now. He’s not your average athleisure rep — instead of working on his downward-facing dog or routinely topping the Peloton leader boards, you can find him surfing at Pipeline and being labeled “the greatest athlete you’ve never heard of.” Consequently, his new collection with the brand is like nothing we’ve seen from an athleisure company.

It’s called the Moon Drift collection and it features 10 pieces that will take you from the gym to the beach and straight into the waves. Yes, even other serious surfers will find something in here to like.

First and foremost, there’s the surf-ready Long Sleeve Rashguard, which was developed through multiple rounds of in-water testing courtesy of Healey. If rashguards don’t get you particularly excited, we also like the Train to Beach Hoodie, a layer we’d never expect to grab in the summertime, but will certainly be picking up thanks to the UV protection and ergonomic design (not to mention it just looks great even if you’re simply knocking back daiquiris). Some of our other favorite pieces include the Train to Beach Shorts, as well as the post-surf Moon Drift Jacket and Moon Drift Pants.
