The story of mattress-industry profiteering is well-known, told and retold countless times by the coterie of bed-in-a-box companies promising better sleep with an affordable price tag.
But they forgot one thing: the bed.
That’s where local furniture label Interior Define comes in. Having earned plaudits for their handsome custom sofas, the company just launched their first made-to-order bed-frame collection.
They, too, are customizable. And stylish. Masculine. Also very cozy.
Started in 2014 as an online-only outfitter, ID — the “Warby Parker of furniture” — opened a guideshop in Lincoln Park soon after. They’ve tripled their revenues year after year since. Point being, they’re seeing the kind of success you only get when you do things right. And what sets these bed frames apart from the rest is the very foundation of that success: customization.
Offering three different upholstered styles — the Harper, Oliver and Gray, which are all based on sofa styles of the same name — the company allows buyers the option to customize everything from the headboard height and legs to more than 70 options for fabric and color.
Personally, we’re big fans of the Gray. Just the right amount of minimalism. Neutral enough to stand any bedroom, and with enough character to make a statement.
Best part? Just like your spiffy bed-in-a-box, they can be delivered right to your door. And no need for wrenches. Just ask and they’ll assemble it right in your room for you.
Rest assured.
