The Grand Circle Trailfest will be brutal.
Over the course of three days, entrants will cover some 44 miles, with elevation gains topping 1,600 feet.
But Trailfest will also be beautiful. Each day covers some of the most stunning trails through the Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon National Parks (respectively). You don’t need to be trailrunner to go; there are festival activities like yoga, massage, films and live music for those who just want to cheer along the contestants. But should you be ready and able, the races take place in the morning, with plenty of afternoon recovery time.
It’s taking place on October 5-7th. Home base for racers is Kanab, Utah, which is basically smack in the middle of the three canyons. If you like to run, mull it over.
That you’re in three of the most stunning natural wonders on God’s green earth is the cherry on top.
