Me, you and everyone we know have probably at some point been affected by breast cancer.
Mothers, wives, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, in-laws, friends, bosses, colleagues, employees, teachers, doctors, coaches … women we know and love have faced — and will continue to face — the threat of this disease until a cure is found.
So in solidarity with Breast Cancer Awareness month, we’ve decided to interrupt your regular lifestyle programming to offer up 10 easy ways you can contribute to the cause. Ways, it bears noting, that include snazzy watch straps, button-ups and at least one old-school tennis sweater that’ll break every neck at the country club.
Now make like a good bra and show some support. And wear more pink!
Nota bene: Most of the initiatives below support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which received a full four-star rating from Charity Navigator (“Your guide to intelligent giving”). Remember: not all charities are created equal. In fact, some are total and complete sleazebags. Always look ‘em up before you pledge.

The cause: 50% of every sale ($17) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The goods: Four men’s shirts and one women’s “shirt dress” from the kings of whatever passes for formalwear in Hawaii.
The cause: 15% of every purchase to the Women’s Cancer Center at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, “Hawaii’s first and only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer center.”
APL Techloom Bliss Power Pink | $200
The goods: Freakishly lightweight (6.8 oz.) mesh running shoes made with APL’s patented Propelium technology, which is so effective at giving athletes extra spring that the NBA banned it.
The cause: 20% of gross profits to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

Terranea Turns Pink | Price Varies
The goods: A world-class eco resort and spa set on 102 majestic acres in Palos Verdes, a peninsula just south of Los Angeles.
The cause: For the entire month of October, Terranea donates a portion of all stays, spa treatments and special “pink”-themed menu items to the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
S’Well Water Bottles Pink for a Cure Collection | $25-45
The goods: A triple-walled, condensation-averse bottle that keeps your drinkables cold for up to 24 hours or warm for up to 12. Three special colorways are available as part of the brand’s “Pink for a Cure” initiative.
The cause: 20% of the retail price donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for every purchase.
The North Face Men’s Pink Ribbon Half Dome Hoodie | $50
The goods: A midweight fleece hoodie in two colorways with The North Face’s iconic half-dome logo printed in an eye-catching pink.
The cause: The North Face makes an annual donation to Boarding for Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Prevention Partners. Since 2006, they’ve donated more than $1.3m.
Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Collection | Prices Vary
The goods: Ralph’s signature polos, tees, rugby shirts, sweaters and more, all punched up with pink accents. We’re partial to this classic cricket sweater, which features subtle pink stripes at the collar and waistband.
The cause: 25% of every purchase goes the Pink Pony fund, which directly benefits the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care. Learn more about the project here.
The goods: A medium-bodied chardonnay from a California vintner that donates to various causes with every bottle sold.
The cause: Sales of chardonnay help directly fund clinical trials to find a cure for breast cancer; over the last decade, said sales have amounted to nearly 19,000 total days of trials.

The cause: 40% off all sales will be donated to a rehabilitation center for women who have undergone chemotherapy.
