Forget dressing for an occasion.
We’re beyond figuring out the unwritten rules of business casual, beach formal and whatever “cocktail attire” means.
We want versatility, affordability and good looks for all situations.
And thus, we walk with Moral Code. Recently launched, the direct-to-consumer footwear brand handcrafts an array of handsome leather shoes and accessories that work no matter your happenstance.
Started by some vets from Allen Edmonds, Clarks, Wolverine and Florsheim, the brand purposely ties together the disparate ideas of luxury footwear and casual affordability. Their no-middleman business plan is a staple of likeminded brands like Everlane, Warby Parker, etc., so you’ll spend about $120-$250 for premium bluchers, chukkas and driving moccasins — aka timeless styles that are also comfy, with good grip and some nice details.
Some of the styles we dig:
The Percy: A casual blucher with distressed styling that’ll look great with jeans.
The Evan: A Chukka mid-top with a white sole to give your leather kicks some pop.
The London: “Originally invented for the thrill-seeking individual who wanted extra grip while flooring sleek Italian roadsters.” Go sockless with hand-sewn driving moccasins, and pair with slim-cut jeans or chinos.
The Fulton: Your everyday slip-on, seriously elevated.
The Huxley: Gotta put all those shoes somewhere. This vintage-style trunk is a custom order and takes 8-10 weeks to craft.
