You watched Blade Runner. You experienced Blade Runner 2049. Now, get ready for Blade Runner 2099, coming soon to a streaming service (Amazon Prime, in this case) near you. Ridley Scott, who directed the first installment and produced the sequel, is producing a 10-episode series that will return viewers to the same futuristic world he introduced them to 40 years earlier.

According to Deadline’s report on the forthcoming Blade Runner series, Ridley Scott may direct some or all of the episodes.
This isn’t the first Blade Runner project made for television. An animated series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus, debuted last fall. It is set between the first and second films, and drew critical acclaim, with Polygon calling it “a worthy addition to the Blade Runner series.”
