The model who launched a campaign to raise money to benefit bushfire relief in Australia by offering nude pictures in exchange for proof of donations has now raised over $1 million for various fire-relief charities and organizations.
Last week, Kaylen Ward, who has since rebranded as “The Naked Philanthropist,” tweeted a censored pic alongside a list of Australian charities, promising to send a nude selfie to anyone who could provide proof they had donated at least $10 to one of the approved programs. Though Ward told BuzzFeed News she initially only expected to raise “maybe $1,000,” the tweet quickly went viral, and by Sunday, Ward had already raised an estimated $500,000.
The public attention led to the deactivation of Ward’s Instagram account over the weekend, with the platform alleging the model had posted sexually explicit content in violation of Instagram’s community guidelines, although Ward claims she posted no such content.
Ward continued her campaign despite facing pushback from Instagram and, according to a tweet Sunday, her family. By January 6, donations had surpassed $1M.
While Ward’s campaign has attracted massive media attention for its unique approach, her provocative fundraising efforts aren’t entirely unprecedented. As Vox (and Ward herself) noted, Ward’s campaign falls into the broader category of “charity porn.”
All the girls acting like I “stole” their idea for the nudes for charity are literally insane… neither them or I pioneered the idea of “charity porn”

Pornhub has long been in the business of giving back, launching Pornhub Cares back in 2015 to oversee a variety of charitable initiatives, including the “Dirtiest Porn Ever” campaign for ocean waste cleanup and the $25,000 Pornhub Cares scholarship.
Charitable efforts have also enjoyed popularity among smaller pornography sites and sex workers who have launched fundraising organizations and initiatives such as Fuck for Forest, Hump the Bundle, Benevidz, and Come4.
Now, Naked Philanthropist Ward wants to use her success in charity porn to help other aspiring philanthropists. On Saturday, Ward tweeted that she planned to launch her own charitable organization. “If you are a girl and want to be a “naked philanthropist” and sell your nudes for a good cause, email me,” Ward wrote in the tweet.
I’ve decided to start my own organization who’s proceeds go to charities. If you are a girl and want to be a “naked philanthropist” and sell your nudes for a good cause, email me and include your name and twitter or IG handle. Serious inquires only

Ward ceased accepting submissions for donations on Wednesday, but has created a GoFundMe to encourage further donations.
