Italian brand Persol is not just known for creating luxury eyewear, but for creating an enduring and effortless vibe. The likes of Cary Grant, Paul Newman and Steve McQueen have all sported them over the years, and right now you can join the icons and grab a pair of Persol 714 Steve McQueen sunglasses for half the price over at venerable online menswear shop The Rake.

Arguably the most iconic Persol frame, the 714’s were worn by Steve McQueen during the opening scenes of 1968’s The Thomas Crown Affair. Persol has since reproduced the model many times over, always retaining its three principle innovations: the folding closure system at the bridge, the flexible temples that don’t pinch the wearer’s head (the “Meflecto”) and the embossed vertical steel pins on the temple’s hinges (the “Arrows”).

It’s a no brainer that these are gonna go pretty quick, so you might want to act fast.
