The NBA Finals didn’t have any Linsanity, but Jeremy Lin is an NBA champion nonetheless.
With Toronto’s win over Golden State in Game 6 of the finals last night, Lin, who played a total of one minute in the series, becomes the first Asian-American player to win an NBA championship.
Lin is a 30-year-old California native of Taiwanese descent who can speak Mandarin.

The former Harvard star actually began his career in Golden State with the Warriors when he joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Since then he has played for the Knicks, Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, Hawks and Raptors.

Now clearly a bench player (he only played 27 total minutes in the playoffs), Lin has never been able to recapture the dominant form he showcased in New York during 35 games for the Knicks in the 2011-12 season when Linsanity captivated Gotham.
After the big win last night, Lin took to Twitter to share his thoughts:
God is perfectly the same through the highs and the lows. Anyone who knows me knows Ive believed this through all the down times, and Hes just as good at the mountaintop rn! 🏆🏆🙌🏼🙏🏼 #ALLglorytoGod #NBAchamps
