Enter Casa Perfect, a new design store that’s staged in an actual townhouse in the West Village. Shoppable by appointment only, the shop features one-of-a-kind furnishings, statement pieces and concepts from the likes of Eric Roinestad, Ryosuke Yazaki, Floris Wubben and Chen Chen, and Kai Williams.
It’s the first East Coast outlet from Future Perfect, an NYC-based design firm that runs a similar operation in a midcentury home in the Hollywood Hills.
Originally built in 1901, the West Village spot features interiors composed by famed English architect David Chipperfield; it was formerly the home of Nathaniel Philip Rothschild. As told by Future Perfect, “Even though it resembles a traditional fin de siecle structure, the residence, once inside, actually feels far more loft like (on account of its erstwhile owner’s request of a bachelor pad with a single bedroom for the five-floor home).”
Beyond the featured designers, Casa is outfitted with collections from European up-and-comers like Marta Sala’s Éditions, Collection Particulièr, Michael Anastassiades and Dimore Studio. And their services go beyond seating and storage: they also offer top-of-the-line expertise in how to bring a room to life by creating depth with the shades of paint on your walls.
So set up an appointment and pay them a visit. Their home is your home — or at least it will be, once you walk out the door with a rug under each arm.
