Investing isn’t always sexy.

Ever shown a friend photos of your REIT? Or picked up a date in an IRA?

Didn’t think so. Which is why this is a very tempting exception.

A first-of-its-kind platform, Rally Rd. scoops up high-value automotive assets, splits ‘em into shares and offers ‘em up as equity investments to users via an iPhone app and website. Their mission: “to democratize alternative asset investing by providing access, liquidity, and transparency to markets that have traditionally only been available to a select few.”

Since their initial launch in 2017, Rally Rd. has raised $10 million in capital — a sizeable portion of which they’ve decided to sink into opening their new physical Soho locale, The Store at 250 Lafayette.

The first investment on display? A 1980 Lamborghini Countach Turbo. It’s one of only two worldwide that fell off the grid, having just recently returned to the public eye.

The experiential showroom pulls rides from Rally Rd.’s storage facilities in Connecticut and Pennsylvania to give interested parties an intimate look at the “works of art” they’re investing in.

By the end of the year, the company is gunning to have close to 100 cars available on the platform, holding multiple offerings each week along the way. The Countach is the inaugural whip to hold court to The Store, but there will be more. Think of it as a sort of rotating museum that will function as a center for educating investors about the various vehicles the fund invests in.

It’s like the strip club of investing — and for $100, you can get in on the action.

But before you ask: no, no test drives.
