One-hundred and fifty-five miles north of the Arctic Circle lies a luxury winter resort, tucked away in the icy Finnish wilderness. Kakslauttanen has a trio of “safari” deals as well: husky safaris, which include either a 15-minute ride or an overnight adventure; reindeer safaris, which provide a comparable experience but at a slower clip, with a guide from the local Sami tribe; and snowmobiling safaris, which offer the fastest (but loudest) option. The latter includes two options: a two-hour safari, with an outdoor coffee break; or a four-hour one, with lunch prepared over an open fire.
