With summer just around the corner, that spells prime romantic getaway time—and fortunately for those with travel plans, some new psychological research has determined that sex on vacation is better than it is at home.
Amy Muise, a psychologist and professor at York University in Canada, told HuffPost: “Vacations can provide opportunities for couples to self-expand—engage in novel, exciting activities….This can promote sexual desire, sexual activity and sexual and relationship satisfaction.”
In one of her most recent studies, Muise discusses the idea of bringing “self-expansion”—or things like travel, hikes, or other never-before-attempted adventures—into relationships to feed passion.
