Fresh speculation about the quality of Melania Trump’s relationship with her husband arose Tuesday after the first lady’s personal Twitter account “liked” a damning tweet about her marriage to President Donald Trump.
“Seems the only #Wall @realDonaldTrump’s built is the one between him and @FLOTUS #Melania #trump,” the now infamous tweet from a political writer reads.
Shortly after it was posted, Melania Trump’s personal account “liked” the tweet—though it was “unliked shortly afterwards.
Trump critics, however, were fast enough to make screen grabs of the activity, and circulate it on the Twittersphere.
Internet users and much of the mainstream media have long poked fun at President Trump’s relationship with his wife, hypothesizing that Melania preferred life before public office. The “liking” of this tweet ignited fresh theories that Melania isn’t as happy in her new role as the White House is portraying her to the public.
That being said, it’s important to note that an intern or social media team could be in control of Melania’s account, although both her personal and @FLOTUS accounts are official and belong to her.
