Fresh off his sexual assault mistrial, Bill Cosby’s representatives said that the embattled TV star and comedian would be going on tour this summer, hosting town hall meetings aimed at educating men on how to avoid sexual assault accusations like the numerous ones he has and still is facing.
The plans were revealed on a local Fox affiliate’s morning show, Good Day Alabama, by Cosby’s reps Andrew Wyatt and Ebonee Benson.
“We are now planning town halls, and we’ll be coming to this city sometime in July,” Wyatt said. “Because this is bigger than Bill Cosby. This issue can affect any young person; especially young athletes of today, and they need to know what they’re facing, when they’re hanging out and partying.” Wyatt then went on to suggest that sexual assault accusations could even “affect married men”—like Cosby.
Benson followed up Wyatt’s remarks by suggesting that “anything at this point can be considered sexual assault,” so men need to be educated on how to deal with potential prosecution.
