The Kaiju are waging war against humanity once again in the first peek of Pacific Rim Uprising, unveiled Friday at New York Comic Con. The sequel to Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 sci-fi flick stars John Boyega, known for his work in The Force Awakens, who will portray the son of Idris Elba’s Stacker Pentecost.
Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, the movie hits theaters on March 23, 2018. Take a look.
