After a scary crash during Olympic competition Tuesday, American luger Emily Sweeney has said that she’s “OK.” According to an AP report published on Sports Illustrated’s site, the luger sustained bumps and bruises, but nothing more serious. The crash that removed Sweeney from competition during the final heat occurred on Curve 9, the most dangerous part of the track. She was flown from her sled after the crash in a moment that left spectators silent with worry. Sweeney was able to stand up and walk away several minutes after the crash.
